King's dynasty (La)
On the death of the old king Proca, the throne of Alba Longa is occupied by his son Numitore, with a weak and remissive character. The secondborn of Proca, Amulio, is instead a ruthless and ambitious man, who does not hesitate to lay his brother and to kill his son, Tarchezio, in order to emphasize power in his own hands. When Rea Silvia, a priestess and sister of Tarchezio, is pregnant with twins, Amulio orders the children to be killed at birth. But the pastor who entrusts the task has no heart to complete it. The two children are found and raised by a prostitute, Acca Larenzia. This is the beginning of one of the greatest legends ever, that of the Romolo and Remo brothers and of the struggle to free their homeland from the hands of the tyrant. A story that will culminate with the decision to found a new city: Rome, a place destined to forever change the history of the world.
