Abraham McGregor and Quinton Daniels have known each other since childhood. They loved each other and then lost due to a decision by Bram that led them to move away and go down different paths. After fifteen years, part of which he spent on a mission in the Middle East, Bram returns to his hometown to try to heal the horrors and scars that the war left on his soul, feeling suffocated in his own skin. The return to Syracuse brings back the two old lovers, because Quinn has never left and now runs the family inn with her aunt.
