The company was founded by Theo and Maria Klein for the production of brooms and brushes in the center of Ramberg located in the Palatina forest.

Ramberg is a historic village of brush manufacturers that boasts 200 years of tradition in brush production. Apart from a few factories, some with about 50 employees, most of Ramberg's families produce brushes and brooms used as housewives since 1890. In the following years, the company is named for toys with quality toys and its range of products growing, not only in Germany but also abroad. Set of products such as "For the small cleaner" with broom, brush, shovel, mocio and later also the sweeper become the main products of the family-run company. Production in the Far East and the production of licensed toys in collaboration with strong license partners sees a further expansion of the company and a growing export share. This results in a significant increase in revenues in 2005 which is sustained and is constantly growing in the following years. After the success of the introduction of the Bosch Mini brand, the company obtains additional agreements with well-known license partners that constitute a significant part of the current product portfolio of Theo Klein. In addition to the strong licensed brands, the company also enjoys a remarkable success with its product ranges thanks to its creative product design team.
