During the summer of his first year in high school, the young Hokada escapes from his remote native island to take refuge in sprawling Tokyo, where he soon ends up forced to sleep on the street and face a daily life of hardship and hardship. When he finally finds work for a small occult magazine, he is hired to make a piece on the legend of the "priestesses of the serene", mysterious figures who are said to be able to change the weather simply through prayer. Meanwhile, in the gray and gloomy Tokyo devastated by torrential rains, he deepens his knowledge of the kind and generous waitress Hina, who first held out a hand when everything seemed to collapse on him. Hina is a "bringer of the serene", meaning that she is able to stop the rain and make the good weather return. She and Hodaka, aided by the girl's younger brother, Nagi, set up an online business as porters of good weather on demand, and finally, since he left his island, the young man begins to think that he has finally found his place in the great metropolis. But it's not all as simple as it sounds, and everything ... has its price.
